This block party-style event, located right next to the new ballpark site along Daniel Morgan Avenue, promises family-friendly fun from 5-9 p.m. and will feature kid-friendly activities, live music, a selection of food trucks, and a spectacular fireworks finale. This event is FREE to the public, and all are invited. The celebration is more than just a name reveal — it’s a community festivity with something everyone can enjoy. The Name Reveal Block Party will be on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 5pm to 9pm. The event will officially open at 5pm, at 7pm the Name Reveal program will start and the event will end with a firework show around 9pm. After the name is revealed, team merchandise will be available for sale until the end of the event.

The Name Reveal Block Party will take place on S Daniel Morgan Avenue between Broad Street and W Henry Street. This is the section of Daniel Morgan next to the future site for Fifth Third Park. The Main Entrance will be located off of South Spring Street and West Broad Street.

This is a free community gathering and there is no fee to attend.

Guests will be able to purchase food from an assortment of vendors including Eat Street Grill, Pelican’s Snowballs, Timmons Concessions, El Paso Tacos & Tequila, Rad Dad’s BBQ, Yum Bai and Wilson’s Donuts. Beer and wine will also be available to purchase. Food Trucks are independent operators and will have their own policies and procedures including if they the can process cash and credit card transactions.

We encourage all guests to support the vendors at the event, but outside food and non-alcoholic beverages will be allowed into the event.

Guests can enjoy baseball themed activities like Speed Pitch, mobile video game theater, face painting and more! All activities will be free of cost.

Yes! We will have live music from Back 9 Band, J. Stephens Band, Daniel Lovelace Band and DJ Apollo.

Yes, we encourage those that would like to sit and enjoy the live music to please bring a chair. There will be some tables along Daniel Morgan that will be first come, first serve.

There will be restrooms on-site, just look for restroom signage once you enter the event!

Merchandise will be sold at Fan Central, located at the corner of Daniel Morgan & Broad Street. The team will release a full line of merchandise including all on-field jerseys, various men’s/women’s/unisex t-shirts, kids apparel, various hats/headwear, pennants & banners, novelty items (mini bats, stuffed animals, key chains, magnets, stickers) and more. Jersey buyers will also have the opportunity to customize their jersey with a name and number.

No. All merchandise will be cashless (debit or credit card transactions only).

The closest parking will be the Old City Hall Parking Lot (surface), QS/1 Parking Lot (surface), Magnolia Street Garage, Dunbar Street Garage and Kennedy Street Garage. The Herald Journal and Spring Street surface lots will not be available to the public for the event. We encourage you to visit HERE to see all of the parking options within a several blocks of the event.

The firework show will begin around 9pm (once it is dark enough) and will be shot from the future site for Fifth Third Park.

Cooper Gaskins

Account Executive, Ticket Sales

Cooper Gaskins joins Hub City Spartanbugers as a recent graduate of Clemson University, where he graduated with an English degree. Before transferring to Clemson, Cooper played two years of baseball at Limestone University.  During his time at Clemson, Cooper worked in the Clemson Athletic Department, the IPTAY donor dept., and interned with the Atlanta Braves Premium Dept. Outside of work Cooper enjoys golfing, fishing, and any sport with a ball.

Luke Feisal

Assistant General Manager

Luke Feisal joins Hub City Spartanburgers as the Assistant General Manager from Wofford College, where he spent the past four years as the Associate Athletic Director for Development.

Luke has lived most of his life in the Upstate South Carolina. He attended Greenville Senior High School, Wofford College for his undergraduate degree and Clemson University for his graduate degree. His professional career has included stops as an employee in the Athletic Departments at both of his college alma maters.

Luke and his wife, Alex, have one daughter, Mabry. Besides being a huge sports fan, Luke enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, reading, and supporting the Wofford Terriers.

Devon Gerber

Merchandise Manager

Devon was born in Minnesota but grew up in a variety of places as his father was in the military. These places include California, Arizona, and even Germany in high school. He got undergraduate degrees in sports management and mathematics and his master’s is in sports management as well while playing tennis for the University of Dubuque.

In his free time, Devon enjoys traveling, playing and watching sports, playing video games, and spending time with his girlfriend Kaylynn.

Ian Dyer

Director, Stadium Operations

Ian Dyer joins Hub City Spartanburgers as the Director, Stadium Operations from the Colorado Rockies, where he spent 5 seasons within the Operations Department with his most recent role being Facility Manager of Coors Field.

Ian is a proud graduate of THE Ohio State University with a degree in Sports Management. He has worked in all levels of sports including time with his alma mater, Ohio State, the Nashville Sounds Baseball Club (Triple-A Affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers) and, most recently, the Colorado Rockies.

Outside of work, Ian enjoys exploring the country with his fiancé, Danielle, and his two dogs, Jax and Thor.

Tyson Jeffers

General Manager

Tyson Jeffers joins Hub City Spartanburgers as the General Manager from the Hudson Valley Renegades (High-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees), where he spent 3 seasons and represented the organization as the Assistant General Manager and then General Manager.

Tyson was born and raised in Mississippi. He attended Mississippi State University for his undergraduate and graduate degrees before moving to St. Paul, Minnesota to start his career in baseball with the St. Paul Saints (Triple-A Affiliate of the Minnesota Twins). He spent 8 seasons with the Saints before moving to New York to join the Renegades.

In his free time, Tyson likes to stay active, watching & playing sports, working on home projects, hanging out with his Chocolate Lab, Griffin, spending time with family and traveling.

Estee Hemphill

Director, Ticket Sales

Estee Hemphill joins Hub City Spartanburgers as the Director, Ticket Sales from the Cleveland Guardians, where she spent 10 seasons within the Ticket Sales and Service Department with her most recent role being the Director of Service. Estee is returning to Spartanburg after spending the 2013 -2014 academic year at Wofford College in their Athletic Department.  

Estee and her husband, Michael, who grew up in Spartanburg, will reside in Roebuck. Besides being a huge baseball fan, Estee enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her niece and nephews.
